A typical sale process runs 6 to 9 months, and is customized for each situation
Confidential Conversation (Week 1)

Strategy & Preparation (Weeks 2-8)
Financial analysis, positioning strategy, marketing materials, and a comprehensive buyer list (strategic and financial) are prepared based on your company.
Buyer Outreach & Development (Months 3-4)
Confidential outreach. Buyer development. Indications of interest. We run a structured process to maximize competitive tension.
Management Meetings & Negotiation (Months 5-6)

What size companies do you work with?
Our sweet spot is private companies with $25M–$500M in revenue. There are select instances we work with clients with less than $25M depending on a variety of circumstances. Above $500M, we have the team and global reach to compete with the bulge brackets.
How long does the sale process take?
A typical sell-side process runs 6 to 9 months from engagement to close. Highly prepared companies can close faster, so too can sizable and highly capable buyers; complex carve-outs or cross-border deals can take longer.
What does it cost?
Sell-side engagements are structured as a small retainer plus a success fee that's only earned at closing. The exact terms depend on transaction size and complexity. We'll walk through the economics on our first call so there are no surprises.
How do you protect confidentiality?
Every conversation, every document, and every buyer outreach goes through strict NDAs and tiered disclosure. We focus on intial strategic discussions with prospective buyers to confirm interest but if teasers are utilized, buyers only see redacted teasers; the company name surfaces only after buyers signed and we've qualified them.
I'm not sure I'm ready to sell. Is it worth talking?
Yes. Most of our best client relationships started 12–24 months before a transaction. An early conversation costs you nothing and gives you a realistic view of valuation, timing, and what to optimize before you go to market. This allows us to properly prepare and optimize timing for a sale process based on your company's circumstances.

Yes — 80% of our deals involve an international element. We have offices in the U.S., Germany, and China and run cross-border processes routinely. Our team is fluent in 8 languages for proper buyer approaches.
