Associate

Job Description

Angle Advisors is seeking to complement its Birmingham-based team of professionals with a qualified, motivated Associate.

  • Prepare, analyze and explain historical and projected financial information;

  • Create financial and valuation models;

  • Support the firm’s pre-marketing due diligence on a client’s business, including the analysis and assessment of business strategy, market positioning, operations, growth prospects, financial trends and performance, and competitive environment;

  • Prepare offering materials, including confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and other presentations;

  • Perform a variety of research on industries, products, geographic regions, potential buyers, etc.;

  • Help support the execution of M&A transactions, including buyer list generation, initial buyer contacts, data room organization, etc.;

  • Manage Analyst tasks in supporting M&A transactions and review of their work product, including financial and valuation models, offering materials, pitch materials, research, etc.;

  • Assist in the development and training of Analysts;

  • Support the buyer’s due diligence, and prepare and coordinate answers to the buyer’s questions;

  • Prepare marketing pitches;

  • Assist in the marketing of the firm’s services and planning of engagements; and

  • Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisors.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should be motivated, creative, outgoing, detail-oriented, and possess strong financial analysis skills. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of accounting and finance, proven analytical and research capabilities, a hard work ethic, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

A Bachelor of Business Administration degree is strongly preferred, and coursework in accounting and finance is mandatory. Two to three years of work experience is required, and corporate finance, accounting, valuation, or investment banking experience is highly preferred.  Foreign language capabilities are also preferred.
